Unacceptable ads
I know that most podcasts fund themselves with ads, but I’ve NEVER heard a show whose ads are this bad. I just listened to a show that had a NINE MINUTE ad for some overpriced meal delivery service. And it wasn’t the first ad in the episode either. They kicked off the episode with a couple of ads, then had another prerecorded ad play after the first story. That’s just a dumb amount of time. That means if I try to listen to an episode while I walk to a friends place, I might not hear any content at all by the time I get there. And the writing can be very inconsistent as well. Some stories are good, but others have very obvious problems. Things that would be super basic to catch. For instance, I just listened to one that switched from first person to third person halfway through.
