34: A Social Media Manager, In This Economy?

34: A Social Media Manager, In This Economy?

Hey crew! This week's episode, I get vulnerable and talk about how my business went from having 17 consistent clients to 4 in just a few months.

With rising costs and slower sales, my clients were struggling and with that, marketing budgets were cut.

Is the economy doing as well as everyone says it is?

Social media is an essential part to growing any business, so my prices have always been quite cheap to accommodate my clients. But with the current economy, even my cheaper prices couldn't make them stay on my client roster. This drastic change was scary to say the least.

31: Invest in High Quality Photos and Videos for your Brand

31: Invest in High Quality Photos and Videos for your Brand

In this episode Dakota Jeane sits down with Kyle Ledeboer of KPL Studios.

    We answer questions like:

Do I need to have high quality photos or videos if I want to stand out on social media?

How do you handle clients who have a really small budget but want really high quality photographs?

KPL studios was started by photographer / Videographer Kyle Ledeboer in order to cut through all the noise of getting content. He realized that creating a streamlined company with a “hospitality” approach would help to set him and his team apart from the completion. He believes that doing great work is only a small part of the overall client experience and that the work must also be delivered quickly to be relevant.

“Clients always remember how you made them feel on set.” - Kyle Ledeboer

Kyle got his start in photography in his 20’s while living out of a suitcase and traveling all over Europe. He got addicted to getting to know each city intimately and have spent thousands of hours both researching and exploring each of them. Internationally, he has lived in London, Barcelona, Athens, Hamberg, Milan and even did a stint on the Canary Island of Tenerife. Domestically, he’s lived in Los Angeles, New York City, Miami, Portland, Seattle and Phoenix.

When he’s not working on a project for one of his clients he can be found off grid in the mountains somewhere fly fishing or chasing monsoon storms with his camera.

Alexis320 ,

Helpful!

Great advice. I don’t get too much from the interviews but I understand appealing to all parties. The intro song had a time when it was blasting through the speakers and was too loud but I believe that’s since been adjusted.

All social media manager advice I’ve received from this podcast has had a direct and positive effect on my personal business.

I wish there was more!

Selah Zachary ,

2021 podcast

As a new comer, I was excited to learn about social media management and not being alone!
So of course, I scroll all the way to the bottom (very second podcast she ever made…) & she begins to discuss about being “silent” during the George Floyd tragedy but then continues to push her obvious political views on her podcast in regards to needing better politicians who care in office… well, I hope your opinion on what we have in office now was worth you loosing a follower/listener! I am non-biased. I am not on either sides. I don’t want to come to a podcast to learn about social media management and then be pushed towards her political views. Keep that out of business!

I gave 2 stars because her podcast quality sounded fine, her intro was good. But, lost me at the rest. I hope she sees this and can remove any podcast in regards to any views that’s not about social media management!

Aysia Le ,

Thank you

As a new social media manager, Dakota helped me not feel so alone. I’m so grateful for your guidance! Thank you!
