“The review that says about (I’m clearly paraphrasing here) three guys chatting and using “in-jokes”... I understand your point of view but I respectfully disagree. If you listened to the other podcast episodes then the in-jokes would make sense and have more entertainment value. As far as the plugging...of course they will plug their own talks and events; it’s a largely ignored sector of security and needs promotion...regardless, why wouldn’t they? There’s no ads about irrelevant products and/or services interrupting the podcast so I don’t see any issue with them discussing their own events. If you’ve listened to more than that brief section of the podcast you would realise that there is a huge amount to be learnt from this podcast. I would leave a 5 star rating but I find the infrequency a disappointment. Although, to self-critique, these people have jobs and are sharing information and their time for free. Seems to me that you reached your “cognitive buffer overflow” and so I can already lean towards the idea that you most likely will be easily targeted if one annoys you, which then allowed your emotions to take over your actions and left that review.
I reckon a phishing email to you would be most effective if it appeared to be from an entity that has charged you for something you didn’t buy. I think it’s reasonable to believe that you’d get angry and immediately click the link to contact their complaints department yeah? Haha Gather more information before you publicly criticise.”
