Even for non-fashionistas! Fun, Intellectual, Cultural Humanity
How in the world do you have me stopping my workout to look up designers, independent bookstores, recipes, Trinidad and a supermodel. (I didn’t know supermodels still existed). Me - a woman who gets her hair cut once, maybe twice, a year and wears barn boots and t-shirts! Granted, I have always loved art, so I should have known. Fashion is art. Food is art. Travel is an art form that explores art, architecture, and culture. I will no longer look at someone blankly when s/he says “well, it’s fashion week, so.” Now I know that is a complete sentence and even I could go enjoy the beauty without being insecure about what I’m wearing as long as I feel comfortable - in my skin, in my clothes - even if I’m wearing jeans and a Tee because that’s what the designers really want. There is no need to be intimidated. With that said, can you do a podcast on shoes and judgement surrounding footwear. Is it imagined? Is it real? I cannot believe I will no longer be intimidated by people I view as fashion forward or think I can’t wear something because my body isn’t right. Nope. My body is just fine just the way it is. I’m looking forward to more episodes but will continue to listen to my other favorite podcasts: Hidden Brain and RadioLab.
