I do enjoy Eamon’s podcast guests, the pod is definitely slanted to the left, kind of like an Irish Times leftist review

I really enjoy the podcast, Tom Clonan is an interesting guest however he keeps calling Putin, “Pewtin”, it is pronounced “Pootin”.

Much appreciated and enjoyed. Thanks to you and your team, Eamon!

Nothing new here, lots of pale, male and stale taking about politics as though nothing has changed in the last twenty years. Very US exceptionalist point of view, as if the rest of the world outside the Anglosphere should be viewed with suspicion.

Its not just about sport and he gives a fairly accurate and honest view of many topics

Love this podcast but found it hard to listen to Ruby Walsh talking about gambling when he’s done more tv ads for Paddy Power than any jockey in the world a bit hypocritical Eamon

He’s a pure leftist, anyone that protests is far right, this is the new language for the far left media

Eamonn is no one to be moralising to anyone about drug taking ffs.

Eamon Good conversation with Lara Marlowe who is an excellent journalist. However she doesn’t deal with the fact that Hamas is part of the Moslem brotherhood committed to the elimination of Israel as a state so when Hamas enters Israel and massacres Jewish civilians what does she expect US and EU...Read full review »

I like Eamon on sports but his shallow takes on politics and current affairs can be safely ignored.

I watched the oireachtas committee yesterday re; Ryan Tubridy and Noel Kelly. I watched and waited for Eamonn’s pod today to hear his feedback. as I knew it would be worth the wait. The discussion between eamonn and fionnan sheehan excellent and measured. Eamonn praises Fionnan for his...Read full review »

Congratulations to you Eamon and keep up the good work. A real easy listening show I urge all to enjoy! Thank you...Read full review »

Since it’s inception The Stand has been a top 5 for me and deserving of a big thank you for lightening those dark Covid days. Up there with Callan , McWilliams , The Rest is History and more recently Empire and The Rest is Politics, the Stand has been a welcome education on national and...Read full review »

Have always liked Eamon. Niall Stanage and Chris Johns in particular are always excellent and insightful. Enjoy Diarmuid Ferriter’s contributions too. However the relentless scaremongering and lack of balance throughout Covid was disappointing. Never challenged Tomas Ryan about the impracticality...Read full review »

The Russian general, Armageddon was ousted from the band Eamon managed, which comprised of right wings hacks, journalists and after dinner speakers only it seems to be replaced by “our Kevin “ Pathetic!

Great show - doesn’t pander to the left or the right - if you are looking to have a particular point of view upheld, look elsewhere

I like how you bring on contributors who look critically at the ruling party in Britain, could you do the same for the ruling coalition In Ireland ?

I had been listening since the early stages but decided to unsubscribe now. Journalism can not be impartial when it’s being paid for by corporations and lobby groups that have a vested interest in exploiting employees, suppliers and customers while maximising profits and doing all they can to...Read full review »

A great current affairs show from an Irish angle absolutely ruined by adverts. This is how NOT to do it. His content is identical to RTE. Towing the MSM line. It’s ridiculous. A mass formation psychosis podcast to top up your Ryan Tubridy state propaganda.

Love the show & always look forward to the football analysis from the 3 amigos. When it comes to discussing politics in the US, Stanage isn’t the best to have on all the time. I actually don’t listen to those shows anymore. I’m a Waterford man living in New Hampshire for 25 years and as...Read full review »

Just to say; native Americans exist and are as valid and newsworthy as those with the levers of power. Please don’t be yet another Irish journalist who marginalized them.

Where is Nicola Talent? Used to love the chats with her and missing her on the Regency Trial. The lads aren’t nearly as informed although the new guy is far better than the last.

I gave up on this podcast during Covid due to Eamon’s accommodation of hardline Covid restrictions advocates such as Tomas Ryan, not even a disease expert himself. I’ve loved Eamon as a journalist since the early 90s and have read his book but the Covid fatalism was just too much and I couldn’t...Read full review »

Loved the chat Eamon had with Johnny Giles and Liam Brady. One issue not touched on was the midfield influence Josh Cullen is having on the team. He made an error resulting in a booking in Glasgow that stunted his performance for the rest of the game. It also meant he was suspended for the game...Read full review »

I have listened to several US orientated podcasts. The lack of context and true objectivity is alarming. Niall Stanage is about as one sided as you can get and is the opposite of transparent journalism. The constant Trump bashing is getting old - we get it, orange man bad all the time. But the...Read full review »

Listened to this, the problem with Arab gangs and the violence , shootings and bombings occurring in Sweden in recent years attributed to this was unmentioned…and what has fuelled the votes for the far right..

some good discussions, with little pomp and puff. They are good reasoned discussions, though for this reason, some of the discussions scare the crap out of me, like the climate change discussion and some others.
