Military brat love !
I love that this is out in the universe to see our point of view as Korean Americans the struggle for identity is real ! My mom was a tiger mom and I have tough skin because of it my my dad was Air Force he used to be the chief of mental health he basically was like mr. Rogers and my mom was a spitfire . She can never curse correctly if I would get in trouble I would talk like her with her accent and make her laugh so I wouldn’t get a spanking and it worked . I was opposite as far as kids teasing me for being Asian I would pretend I knew karate and they would say don’t mess with her it’s in her DNA 😳 I would play on that and loved that I could act like I knew . I need to do stand up with all my crazy stories one day I will . You inspire me and I’m glad we have representation!! Bonus of being have Korean I’m gunna be 49 and no one can believe it the good genes no wrinkles !!

More reviews of The Stories We Tell with Joanna Gaines
Truly enjoyed the stories told and the honor, value and space given to each person sharing. What a beautiful and honest peek into the victories and valleys, family, and individual insight to that which has shaped the stories told. Especially loved Jo's mama's story.Read full review »

I was mesmerized by the love in your family, I cried and I felt every thing you, your sisters, your husband and your mother said. Never is too late to amend things. I was waiting for more episodes😀

Wonderful. I love how a husband and wife can talk together so candidly.
