I Identify So Much With This!!
Thank you Joanna and Chip for having this podcast and for normalizing some of the experiences I and thousands of others who identify as BIPOC have had. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania as a half Asian and unequal parts White, Black and Indigenous girl in the 70’s and 80’s. Racialized bullying was definitely part of my story. Like you, Joanna, I have come to unpack parts of my story and questioned thoughts I’ve had about myself and my world. I have come to realize that my story isn’t defined by what people thought of me, but of what I thought of myself, and I think I’m pretty awesome! Thank you again for being so vulnerable and I can’t wait to read your book!
