“This is by far one of my favorite podcasts on magic and mentalism.
I really hope they continue to give sound solid advice and thoughts on the core principles of our art. I would love to hear even deeper longer talks about character, show development, and basically their entire take from the ground of up of learning routines, practicing, structuring a set, structuring a show, how to properly go about putting it all together, how to properly rehearse, etc. then all about how to market, how to dominate social media, how to stay congruent with character throughout performing, marketing, social media, everything.
Even more stuff like really selling routines, creating deeper impact for routines, being as real as possible, hitting harder, how to structure the perfect “roller coaster ride” of emotions.
I remember they talked a little about injecting emotion into routines but I wish they would have went into much deeper detail with many more examples. Taking a single routines and showing how to make it create different emotions. Or taking multiple routines and how to create different emotions for all of them. Just more ideas to help spark the listeners creativity.
Id listen to all of it. I know they hold off on getting into long rants, but I believe the rants are some of the best nuggets of true value and insight, so rant away and leave it in! I love it!
5 stars! Keep it up fellas. I think you guys are killing it on here!
If I could give one piece of feedback. Go DEEPER into explanations. Don’t just gloss over subjects, five multiple examples, and different viewpoints of the same example to help your listeners get their own creative juices flowing. (See my comment about injecting emotion into routines above) Don't be afraid to deep dive into each topic and give more than just one example each before you move onto the next point. Give multiple each, go back n forth and build off each others ideas. You two work so well together and your back and forth is excellent. Showcase it more. We want to hear it!
Take my advice or not. Either way I’ll continue to listen! You guys are brilliant!
