“Podcast Listeners come to the podcast space longing for two things:
1. Content and stories that the mainstream media ignores or worse purposely rejects.
AND
2. Nuanced long form discussions that are, for the most part, uncut and unedited.
The Takeaway accomplishes #1 but fails at #2. In college a 50% on an exam is an F, hence the 1 star review.
Much like Cable News, in the Takeaway as soon as you get to to the meat of the discussion the show has moved on to the next block/story. 😞
There’s potential here though.”
