Rudderless
I like John Gruber and read his blog religiously. However, without Dan Benjamin to reign-in his narcissism and tastefully tap his enthusiasms, this next-gen Talk Show sounds more like Gruber and his pals giggling it up in a keep-out-of-our-tree-fort coffee klatch than a listenable podcast. And potential sponsors, beware: don't expect to hear any oomph when Gruber attempts to render your blurbs. Boy, were those hard to listen to. Wow that was some bad show, if I were the sponsors I'd want my money back for the way my brand was butchered by Johns terrible reading. Fairly sad rambling episode and does not show John in a very good light as well as the crappy audio. Certainly will not be tuning in again.Read full review »

The Talk Show, in its current incarnation, makes almost no sense. The original show worked because of its format.
