Mediocre host and instructions but some good guests
I listened to a number of these again and now remember why I stopped listening to this podcast years ago. For example, Mike Digby is a very interesting guest and glad he was given two podcasts but Mehrban’s asks a question, Mike gives a great answer and Mehrban says stuff like “very cool” or “100% agree” with zero follow up or any back and forth. Basically Mehrban sounds like he doesn’t really care about the answer and hurriedly moves onto the next question… very bad interviewing technique :( On podcast 255 Will Hamilton is on and the first question is about weight transfer on serve and the back foot. Will says I don’t know how to answer that then tries to pass off to Mehrban who fails to answer the question. Then at the end of the episode Will gives super confusing advice about anticipating an opponent’s forehand direction to a 2.5 level player…. who definitely can’t use it. Also, when the same woman says “I don’t even know if I split step” neither Will or Mehrban ask if she is recording herself to verify if she is split stepping. Wow just wow.

Love listening to this show in the morning while at the gym. The tennis tips and talks remind me why I want to work out
