It is also a very special story for me personally - since I had the great honor to participate in this birth as a midwife-doula - and hour after hour witness the enormous strength we women hold within when we are given the right circumstances.

My favorite
I absolutely love this podcast. I cannot get enough of it. I’m pregnant with my first child, and this podcast has really opened my mind to what birth can be and to really advocate for myself and what I want during my birth. And having just moved to Sweden at the end of 2021 this has really helped me feel comfortable and confident to give birth here.
Be Aware if Her Stance on Abortion
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so I’m not here to change hers, but mamas should be warned that this is a part of her podcast. She is very clear that she is pro-choice and in support of abortion. As someone going through a high risk pregnancy, praying that we can make it full term, I find zero encouragement hearing someone affirm the “freedom” to end a tiny woman’s life in favor of an older woman. The older woman does not have more rights simply because she is older in age. The only people with opinions on either side of this argument are ALL a result of mothers who chose life. All whose mothers chose abortion, are not here to share their perspective. High risk mamas, those longing to conceive, those who have gone through miscarriages - it may be more encouraging to listen elsewhere. 🤍
New favorite podcast
I absolutely love this podcast. I am 20 weeks pregnant with my second child and listening to positive birth stories is a wonderful way to prepare and get tips for a great experience! I live in Iceland and am finding it interesting to hear the experiences of birth in Sweden. My other favorite podcast is the birth hour but I have exhausted all their episodes so I am so glad I found this show and am binging all the stories!
