As a child, I was always tickled by Stephen’s portrayal of Ned Ryerson in the film Groundhog’s Day. Stumbling onto this podcast as an adult has been nothing but joy. I love the way Stephen tells stories. He’s an excellent writer. Highly recommend.

Tobolowsky’s memoir-based podcast brings an attention to detail and pathos that recalls the best of Spalding Gray. His stories turn mundane moments into profound reflections on this rich, but fleeting life we’ve been dropped into. From a whirlwind evening with Faye Dunaway to indirectly inspiring...Read full review »

Masterful storytelling that more than hints at what makes life magical. (Good food & wine, success and failure, humor, love and loss, birth and death, and if we are lucky/blessed, strong human connections throughout) A reminder that no one ever dies as long as they tell their story. The Toboloski Files is moving and wonderful. It has made me question my purpose on earth, what I am doing with my time here, and the profound impact we can have on each other. Stories can have that effect, and Stephen Toboloski has managed to tell some of the most powerful stories I have heard.

Growing up in Dallas, not too far from the SMU campus, this brings back so many wonderful memories.
