“As a lifelong Tolkien fan, I tried a few Tolkien podcasts before settling on this one. After listening to several episodes, I realized that it was that time again - lost count long ago of how many times I've read the books, but now I'm reading them again. The podcast is very interesting in that it contrasts the response of John, a serious longtime fan, with that of Greta, a Tolkien newbie keen to learn. I particularly like that the podcast takes a serious look at the books chapter by chapter - some of the others I tried were more focused on discussing the movies.
