What a great series about a truly terrible self absorbed individual capable of horrendous crimes. This version of a human being the world does not need.

Amber Heard is an absolute bully and she lied multiple time during her trial. You’ve never mentioned the specific and just brought unfounded allegations against Depp when it was a full trial to get informations from!!!! The dishonesty of the host is absolutely blatant! You did not mention the...Read full review »

The Lizzo/Beckham ones interesting, especially considering who presented the recent Corbyn one.

Thank you for this episode. I believe the police is an essential and important service our society and the world simply couldn’t survive without. It is getting far too negative media reporting just now. I still can’t understand how people can engage with the idea of debunking police power- but...Read full review »

In a world of fast paced, breaking news, Tortoise stands out above the rest, as it methodically makes it’s way to the finish line, gathering info along the way. This is the kind of journalism we need more of in our world. Listen to Tortoise, you will not be disappointed.

Outstanding investigative journalism, with a consistently high level of critical analysis. Often covers aspects of politics and current affairs that aren’t fully addressed elsewhere. Well worth subscribing to.

Interested as I am in Baroness Owens, listening to this ep felt like reading a tabloid. Nothing wrong with that but not what I thought this series was about. Who goes to any school in August & expects to speak to the HT for example. Sadly, this series has stopped doing the systematic...Read full review »

Thank you for covering the river Brent in your recent episode. I’m such a proud Ealing / Hanwell resident due to the great local people here doing all they can to support nature. :) Thank you!

Used a bottle to rape his wife and he knows what he did, he will die alone, his children hate him, money won’t keep him happy, horrible little man who own mother hated him.

Interesting content but the feed doesn’t work if you pause and then try to continue later it gets stuck and just buffers. So you can only listen to an entire episode if you do it in one stretch.

I did used to find the podcast interesting now it’s drifted to be a sixth form college room with too many left wing biases it’s starting to miss the story.

A few of the podcasts I have listened to have been well researched and provide genuinely balanced insight. Unfortunately many others are horrendously biased and unbalanced. I noticed this particularly f from the journalists who have worked/work for the guardian et al.

Love Tortoise’s podcasts across the board - excellent journalists doing excellent journalism, hopefully raising industry standards and showing that deeper, long-form storytelling has an important place in our news landscape. Keep up the good work!

Just listened to the David Wailliams episode . Wow very one sided / biased . Not a fan of his books but felt you were out to get him negatively.

Basia is great. The podcast on a British citizen being arrested in India was very informative and unsettling. But the anti-Brexit sentiment outbreak towards the end was a bit too convenient and showed a bias that didn’t add to the story.

Explained how law worked, what was needed to be successful at appeal (very hard) and how it felt to be wrongly accused. A charity, Inside Justice and Louise Shorter works to support and challenge when this happens, emotional interview regarding impact of their work.

I like the depth of each report and story, the narrative and the level of professionalism of journalism and integrity in this podcast. It’s quickly moved up to my top 5 list.

Considered, unfussy, sharp, thoughtful, appropriately slow, challenging, sensible. It’s one of the best of the new news platforms I’ve found and a small, but significant victory in the struggle between media unraveling and green new shoots. Give it a try.

Great listening with tortoise - super high quality content. However listening through apple podcasts, at least a few times, the podcast just keeps loading and never plays or plays for a bit and then starts loading indefinitely. If they can sort this out it’s 5 stars
