“While I do believe Amanda to be innocent. I understand that I could be wrong.
Not seeing things in only black and white, it’s hard for me to 100% be for someone’s quilt or innocence. Often it seems many people do just that, jumping to an immediate stance without really hearing the evidence, or even caring what the evidence is. I tend to think, and overthink, and think again about something, before I can arrive to what I believe.
This is how Amanda seems to approach her topics and guests. I don’t feel there is bias, and even if for a moments she seems to be leaning one way she pulls you back the other way. She sees the human side of both the victims and the accused. Not something many do.
She can bring some of her own experiences to the table and adding that perspective is interesting. And while someone in her situation might chose to come across bitter or angry, she doesn’t. She uses her experience to relate to and compare to her topics. Never seeming to be using it for ratings or otherwise.
Even her guests get pleasantly surprised with some of the questions she brings to them. She has a different perspective on these stories than most anyone I have listened to. That could be due to her well documented past, or maybe it is just who she is. Either way it’s refreshing.
All of the seasons were great and I hope at some point we get more.”
