This podcast is worth your time! I’m rewatching along with Dan and Roberta and I find their conversations to be insightful and very entertaining. Their Patreon has great tidbits as well. Definitely check them out!

Really wanted to like but Roberta is just exhausting. No idea why Dan puts up with the constant pedantic nitpicking and undermining.

The PERFECT Mad Men rewatch companion. Gives a lot of dimension to the show because of its really good analysis of each episode. Everytime I finish an episode of the show, I’m so excited to have « unlocked » a new episode of They Coined It

Fabulous look back at Mad Men from our Pandemic Era. I love discovering new ways (such as this podcast) to stay connected to the series and the characters. Their deep dive analysis is like dissecting great literature. The hosts reveal so many layers and levels to each episode as well as the...Read full review »

I love dissecting the layers upon layers of Mad Men, and I love the interviews. But man, is Dan annoying. Talks over people, misses really obvious plot points, and just gives off a subtle but constant sexist vibe. I’m frequently telling him to stop talking in my head…and yet he keeps talking.

I’d listened to Way Down In The Hole to take a deep dive into The Wire & Talking Sopranos for that show and had been looking for a quality Mad Men podcast. I’ve found it. Give this a try as it’s great.

Love the authentic and relaxed nature of the podcast! The hosts have great chemistry as well. Mad Men's willingness to tackle women's issues in a grounded and raw way is one of the reasons I love the show so much. Therefore, I really love that the hosts don't shy away from discussing...Read full review »

To preface I’m definitely an obsessive, have rewatched all the way through at least 10 times. Dan and Roberta are lively and do a good job of not just recapping but having some discussion of dialogue, themes in an episode, etc. I was hoping for something more in depth. There are other die hards...Read full review »

Great discussion between the hosts. I don't always agree with every take they have, but that makes it fun; it's better than listening to people parrot back to you everything you think. And I really appreciate it when I'm presented with a new take on something. They bring up ideas on...Read full review »

Love this podcast and love mad men. I do wish the hosts were a little less combative toward each other sometimes their back and forth overtakes the analysis of the show and I feel like all they do is disagree and this takes away from the analysis

Once I found this podcast I went back to the first episode and have listened to every one. Roberta and Dan are excellent hosts and I can’t wait for all the episodes still to come.

Just discovered this podcast through Reddit and of course I need to re-watch every episode of the show again as I listen to each pod episode. Dan and Roberta (the hosts) are bright and insightful. I find the Peggy and Rachel characters uninteresting/predictable so the praise of them is a bit much (Rachel, in Season 1 and Peggy, In every Season). I do recommend this podcast to both new and re-watchers of Mad Men.

I found this pod during quarantine and have loved listening after rewatching an ep. I like the back and forth between the hosts. Each come equipped with different perspectives that make for a better show because so much of the MM show is open to interpretation. Keep going! :)

I love this podcast. Each episode of Mad Men is deconstructed and analysed, from the script and it’s nuances to the lipstick Betty wears to the talk of the future politicians of America and what makes them. I’ve tried a variety of MM podcasts, and this is easily my favorite. Just the right level of recap vs analysis, with some brief show audio included. The pace is snappy, Roberta and Dan stay on topic. I’m a fellow MM obsessive, now on my 3rd full series binge, and found Dan and Roberta’s gem of a podcast a month or so ago. …but their audio volume is so low, sometimes I can’t hear what Dan’s saying. Please turn it up! Roberta’s girlcrush on Melinda McGraw is easy to understand, and I get it. Rewatching MM for 4th time. Looked at a few of these pods and this looks to be the best. Very high quality analysis, with real insight and humor. Love the warmth between the two hosts. Nothing I love more than a great podcast about a show that's a favorite, but it's often hard for me to find one I like--you know, if you're going to listen to people talk about something that you yourself love to talk about, you better enjoy listening to them and not just want to jump...Read full review »
