Biased use of statistics
This podcast uses unconscionably biased reporting of statistics when covering Indigenous deaths in custody. It offers no meaningful point of comparison when describing the number of Indigenous deaths in custody. Indigenous people are more likely than other races to be imprisoned but are not more likely to die in custody. And, on this point, there was little attempt to seriously consider Indigenous people having any sort of agency or control over committing crimes. Why am I surprised the ABC produces such sloppy analysis that perpetuates the racism of low expectations?

More reviews of Thin Black Line
As a Maori growing up in Australia in the late 70’s and 80’s I know racism. I’ve saturated my self in First Nation and Maori knowledge. The NRL has helped bridge the gap between white, brown and black People’s. This podcast is brilliant!
