Here, Again Episode
First, I just want to say that I find it interesting the conversation between the white woman with a biracial son and the black officer with biracial twins. Can we talk about how our country as a whole is very open and NOT racist, but in fact, multiracial and multicultural families are a large portion of our society? People aren’t filled with as much hate as the media would like to portray. Second, it’s a far stretch to call the protest of Bentonville, AR a “peaceful protest” where police used brutality for no reason. I am from the area and watched most of the protest. The city of Bentonville released statements saying they were embarrassed of the behavior of the “protestors” and many people in Bentonville claimed those protestors weren’t even from the area. “Peaceful” protestors could be seen spitting on officers and throwing water bottles and LIT firecrackers at the officers. If you want to discuss peaceful protests of this area, you can look into the one in Fayetteville, AR. Note: an actual peaceful protest resulted in no police using force. I love the podcast and learn a lot from it, so thank you!
