“I have a long commute, about 3 hours each way a few times a week. This is Horror helps me get through it. I’m not a writer, but an avid horror fan. Michael and Bob conduct in-depth interviews of writers that go beyond the normal sound bites usually presented in the media. They seem to truly care about their guests and in turn, the writers get personal and emotional at times. I feel like I’m part of the conversation too. I have found so many new authors that I love through this podcast.
Beyond just horror and writing, the discussion often turns to strategies for productivity. I’ve recommended this podcast to many of my students who want to be writers and I’ve used a lot of the advice in my composition and literature courses. Seriously, just listen, it will inspire you in ways you did not expect. When I listen on those long drives, I feel like I’m part of a community.”
