Really helpful because people get more passionate about movies not that many people have seen, so you get to hear people’s passion get bottled up over time and then released on the podcast!

This is such a smart and thoughtful movie podcast. A truly refreshing change from the countless outputs by critic bros. I’m very sad it’s ended.

The interstellar episode is just out of the world. The girl who you are interviewing I would love to read all her articles and the way you and the interviewee articulate your thoughts is just amazing

I’m sorry this podcast has ended! I will miss the thoughtful and often personal conversations Lily had with so many unique guests. Thank you to the TMCM team. This list of movies is one I plan to watch selections from often.

I am very late to this podcast and its original, winning premise. Even more than her voice, which is soothing and lovely, Lily offers excellent observations and analysis and elicits the same from her guests. I wish there were more episodes.

I’m a screenwriter and just recently stumbled upon this podcast. It is so rejuvenating to listen to how the work we do, as storytellers & filmmakers, has inspired people. We always hope that this is what we’re doing, but sometimes you can get wrapped up in the every day toil or struggle, and...Read full review »

I was so excited to hear that one of my favorite podcast was coming back after being away too long. At the same time sad to hear it might be the last season. No other movie loving podcast compares to this one in my opinion.

Brilliant, personal responses to movies. The quality of each episode depends on the indiviudal guests, but the best of these are really insightful and personal, such as the episode on Boyhood, and make a refreshing change from the usual focus of film appreciation. Even if it sometimes feels a bit...Read full review »

Love this and will keep listening...but I am getting tired of hearing the hostess humm and mumble reactions whenever a guest is speaking.

I am always amazed at the way TMCM presents the way a message presented in a movie can profoundly impact individuals and even, potentially, the way of thinking of entire cultures. Very interesting and entertaining pod casting. Thank you TCMC! Rob

I like the idea of the podcast, bringing people to talk about their favorite movies and why they are special to them. The execution is very poor, it tries to force the guests stories into the structure of the host which attempts at profoundness but fails greatly and in some cases annoys or...Read full review »

This podcast has been a companion on long drives and flights. The production value is even better on season two. It’s such a pure expression of how we find our stories in film and how film influences the stories we tell ourselves.
