No History here
This is a show designed to attract followers of Human history with the sole purpose of generating profit from views and donations. This is NOT a podcast for people who are seeking new information in the fields of Archaeology, Genetics, Sociology or History. This podcast will not teach you new things. One thing you'll learn from this podcast, is just how many thousands of wealthy, selfish, privileged 'Academics' are sitting around in their downtown apartments, collecting grant money for repeating information that has been repeated thousands of times, and collecting Interview money and 'Exposure' money for doing interviews about their books. How many rich kids who wrote books about their exotic vacations do we need to hear from? How many self-absorbed professors do we need to listen to? When I play any given 1-minute section of this podast (any minute of any interview episode, try it), there are more 'Jargon' words and sentences in that minute, than there are words and sentences about historical facts. Here's another experiment to try: get a paper/open you notes, and jot down the facts that you hear as you play the episode (any episode). When I try to mentally note the things I am learning in each episode, I often find myself going 10, 20 minutes without hearing them say something that I can write down and consider a 'Fact'. You know what I mean? Like nobody wants to hear things like: "And our findings were truly truly peculiar! We really had never seen anything like this before! So it really was a very wholesome and nourishing experience for us to be able to get out in the field. Our data proved substantial at moving the Human understanding of our species as a whole....." - this is 'Jargon' and it makes up the content of most of your episodes. People are PAYING YOU so you can PAY THEM to say things like that in an interview? Not worth our time, We are trying to learn about how our people got here, where they came from, and what they did. It seems like you're actually trying to avoid making any connections between the People of the past, and the People of the present... I wish I could just... choose another Human History Podcast! But there are about 5 and they are all EXACTLY the same. Wealthy Privileged donkeys going on about their ability to pretend they are some kind of virtuous version of Indiana Jones. It is really disappointing... Billions of people in the World and we can sometimes go months or even a year without any news about Humans' Collective past? Our Legacies? New Facts about us? Nothing new. Not even from big companies like the Leaky Foundation or Wondery... millions of dollars going to them and they have nothing new for us, just more copies. P.S. Why does every History Podcaster assume that we're all addicted to Northeast Africa? Are you from the Southern U.S. or something? Can we cut that out please? Every person is different and cares about/knows about a different part of Human history. Simple as that. Stop talking to so many monogamous Whyt people and maybe you'll start to figure that one out.Read full review »

I thought you had sound designers and editing for this podcast. Jeet's rambling, mumbling, wandering rants were incomprehensible and boring.Read full review »
