“Tim is a grifter—he produces extreme right-wing content while claiming to be liberal or centrist or apathetic on any given issue. He admits this all them time, but doesn’t understand that he’s admitting to being a grifter, because he’s also extremely stupid. There are a few things he does seems to care about: he wants the state to crush protests, to make immigrants lives as difficult as possible, and to turn the clock back 70 years on racial justice. Tim is also dangerous. He spent the entire transition keeping his audience’s hope alive that Trump would remain president by promoting fraud theories and wild predictions about how a coup might happen. And for hours per day for the past year, he has prepared his audience for ‘inevitable’ violent conflict with the left. There is no doubt he helped make January 6th happen, and there is not doubt there will be again political violence that he helps stoke. In the end, though, Tim is a grifter grifting to a large, available group of reactionaries whose politics Tim is happy to reinforce to his enormous profit.”
