You hosted Scott Jennings
I thought this podcast was great. However, after the last episode featuring Scott Jennings, I won’t be listening anymore. This pod debased itself by inviting a GOP propagandist on and parading him around like he actually had a rational and thoughtful perspective to offer. Next time, you ought to at least qualify to the audience that one of your guests is a gaslighting partisan toady and Trump apologist who is willing eat his own words and to justify the January 6th insurrection when his political career requires such even after writing in 2021: “ President Donald Trump caused this insurrection with his lies and conspiracy theories about the election process being rigged against him. It was not stolen, but this madness was fomented by the President and his top advisers over the past several months. His attorney Rudy Giuliani, at a rally on Wednesday, called for "trial by combat" to a roaring crowd. Let me be clear: These rioters are not Republicans. These are not conservatives. These are not patriots bursting into the US Capitol, accosting police officers and destroying public property.” This is the same person, the same Scott Jennings, who just waxed poetic on this pod about Trump’s moral authority to condemn political violence. Something about Trump getting “his ear shot off.” But that’s a lie too, isn’t it? According to this podcast episode, Donald Trump came on the scene in 2015 and has been a dominant political voice ever since. Scott is just spewing Trump-worshipping propaganda masquerading as an alternate perspective and because of the lack of fact-checking Vox is validating and legitimizing his position. Hate to see it, but, Vox, you’re part of the problem…Read full review »
