“I love the Vox podcasts and was really excited for a daily explainer. I was expecting, based on the name and I thought what I had heard in the ads on Weeds and Ezra Klein, that this would be akin to one of Vox’s explainer articles. It’s a bit too surface level to do that. If I listened to nothing else from Vox or was generally less informed, this podcast would be great (if overproduced, as some reviewers have noted). However, as it stands now, it seems like a less informative and shallower version of the Weeds. I know it’s new, so I’ll check back in a few times to see if it’s improving, but so far I’m disappointed.”
