The fry is too real
I’ve pretty consistently enjoyed this daily fast take on a single subject, but for the overweening tendency of the women reporters who, smart as they clearly are, default to the Karmashian grind and ‘upspeak’ at the end of phrases or sentences - there are few other sounds in the known universe that are quite as grating. It does a disservice to the flow of the episode and to the impact of the reporting. Please, people, this is not E News - find another speaking pattern to emulate! Try Christiane Amanpour, Gwen Ifill, Walter Cronkite, Walter Murrow on for size, for starters.
