The fry is too real
I’ve pretty consistently enjoyed this daily fast take on a single subject, but for the overweening tendency of the women reporters who, smart as they clearly are, default to the Karmashian grind and ‘upspeak’ at the end of phrases or sentences - there are few other sounds in the known universe that are quite as grating. It does a disservice to the flow of the episode and to the impact of the reporting. Please, people, this is not E News - find another speaking pattern to emulate! Try Christiane Amanpour, Gwen Ifill, Walter Cronkite, Walter Murrow on for size, for starters.

Great work on this terrific episode. As a product of WV public schools and a staff member of KQED (Hi Irene!) I loved this and the fact that SF unified sent $ to feed teachers in Charleston. Your music is also fantastic, I look forward to what I can hear from you!

Totally loving this stellar new pod from Vox. So far the topics they’re choosing to dive into aren’t the typical top headlines of the day which is refreshing. Sean is a fantastic host! Nice work as usual Vox.

Informative and slickly produced. Love that it comes out in the afternoons. Sean Mattressfirm is the best.
