“Some good information here, but I find myself wishing these hosts would be more mindful of the very privileged position from which they dispense advice. The “Raising An Adventurous Eater” episode just assumes you have a child with no sensory or developmental or spectrum challenges (also, to make these proclamations based on one child who’s 2 years old seems a little strange; if you’d raised five kids with different temperaments to age 18 I could maybe understand it better). The episode about sleep assumes everyone is done work at dinner time — lights out at 10 PM is a luxury for those who don’t work two jobs, aren’t shift-workers, and aren’t caregivers for sick parents after they get home from work. This is a nice podcast if you’re an affluent, able-bodied person where the majority of how you spend your day is up to you. If you’re not, prepare to feel a bit alienated. Unfortunately the life depicted here is not the reality for a lot of people.”
