This isn’t the best storyline as it is sporadic. I didn’t feel immersed. The vocals and dialogue are great. The quality of the sounds are amazing.

The rights to this podcast was bought out by the company weave the tale and honestly the only way we can get a season 2 is to convince them that enough people want it their Twitter is ⁦‪@WeavetheTale‬⁩ let them know you want a season 2

I really wanted to like it but there’s a guy who’s S’ are so damn loud it makes listening to this very difficult. He slams plosives and ride those S’ so hard your ears will bleed. Had to tap our episode one because of the weird voice he’s putting on. (The guy playing Otto.)

I can only aspire to play a character as narcissistic and unpleasant as him someday.

Another binge worthy show, start to finish, during my daily commute. Thank you all for your talents and dedication to this show! I’m late to the party but hopefully that means I will stumble upon your next adventure soon.

Just started listening but great quality and story. 6 stars!

Creepy, very creative and intricate story, very good character portrayal and development, good production quality, and more “serious” in tone than most actual play shows.

In the middle of the US lock down in quarantine, decided its time to fiddle through a bunch of the podcasts I kept on hand for a rainy day. Turns out that I was saving the “worst,” for first. Between the various player’s incredible characterization and development, Ben’s NIGHTMARISH ability as...Read full review »

I quite enjoyed listening to the first few episodes of this. The story is extremely well done and the production is of high quality. However, I got a bit irritated by the voices after a while. One of the performers puts on an extremely annoying baby voice, and another one chose a fake American...Read full review »

Love me some Call of Cthulhu and this podcast does not disappoint. The stories set are just the right amount of creepy to keep you coming back for more and not be too creeped out to come back. The players too are good, they always seem to pick characters that are right for that story. keep it up,...Read full review »

This is a work of true art. Sometimes, just listening I feel myself slipping. Carcosa... Edit: okay but seriously where’s season two? I’m on my 3rd listen and I NEED MORE! Edit 2: starting my 4th listen... WHERES SEASON 2??!?!!?!!?!??

I really enjoyed this podcast. But I discovered it after the fact. Having 2 of the last 3 episodes not available is unbelievably annoying. Still giving 4 stars as the whole thing was very entertaining but you can’t leave out things that lead up to the ending and not expect to piss people off.

I discovered this podcast trying to slog through my overnight shift seven days ago and just wrapped up the last episode today. I couldn’t stop listening! This is my first time listening to an Encounter Roleplay podcast - these guys did an amazing job bringing the horror noir of the Call of Cthulhu universe to life. Please please make a Season 2, I would love to listen to more CoC roleplay!

I began Tomes and Tentacles around the time it first launched, and spurred me to check out Encounter Roleplay and the wonderful work they do. As an avid CoC player, I fell in love with this podcast. I was blown away by the quality of the players, the keeper's smooth narrative ability, and the quality of the audio. It is just staggering how good it is. I wish they could get more recognition. It reminds me of an old radio drama, with humor, but the humor is never over the top. So well done.Read full review »

This is by far the most enjoyable, binge-worthy podcast I’ve heard in ages. I love all the characters because the actors behind them are so talented. I have to give special credit to Caesar Cole, of course, as the clearly most magnificent of them all. More please.

This podcast is one of the best I’ve heard hands (and tentacles) down Aside from a fantastic cast, and genuinely gripping story, it’s packed with great ideas for keepers such as how to portray a believable group of cultists and represent magic in the setting. Forward the glorious fighting First!

I started off really hating one character and loving the rest. I wanted him to be taken out like an old, dirty rug and beaten. Really, really good. Just binged 5 episodes. Just as Turncloaks, chilling and riveting. I’ve listened to numerous other rpg podcasts for call of Cthulhu, and needless to say this one wins, hands down!
