“This podcast is great for a number of reasons! First of all, the hosts are all hilarious and relatable. My best friend is also scared of horror movies and ends up having me recap movies for her all the time. It’s surprisingly fun. So it’s nice to hear besties elsewhere do the same as well.
Secondly, I work a retail job that usually involves me being alone in a back stockroom. It gets terminally boring. TSDW is the only thing that seems to get me through the day. So thank you for making my day tolerable.
Thirdly, no offense to any other podcasts, but a lot of them are just a bunch of dudes talking about whatever their podcast is theme’d around. It’s refreshing to hear three women tackle the horror film industry this way. Y’all bring a unique and progressive perspective that I, a dude, don’t always see until I’ve listened to an episode. For example Ive watched the Predator numerous times. I legit thought it was just some action horror movie about Arnold and an alien playing a deadly game of cat and mouse lol. But then y’all talked about how it was about toxic masculinity, and now I’m like “How did I not see this before!?!”
I never bothered to think past that simple premise of the movie until I listened to your episode about it. So thanks for helping me and probably others level up their media literacy lol.

“this podcast is ~sometimes~ inaccurate, but the sense of humor and interesting takes on the films more than make up for it. you also learn a little bit about the production of the films which is a cool bonus. the girls are hilarious and the guests they have on are great too!”
