Surprised and pleased to hear the special on ESL, I have missed the podcast and couldn’t find any mention on social why it went off. Given the quality of Telegraph writers, why is this quality podcast seemingly sidelined? Come on Thom, we want you back!!

The best of all the newspaper podcasts on football IMO. Some interesting and different views. Doesn’t take itself too seriously without being annoyingly puerile. They actually know the rules of football which makes a refreshing change from most punditry!

The pod is very good but there are too few episodes per week in comparison to the Guardian football weekly and the Totally Football Show. If there were 2 each week I think the show would be significantly better as the analysis is very good but too short.

I really like the pod, there’s a very good chemistry between everyone but the pod is still informative and insightful, and each of the has a specific way of looking at the game which makes it even better.

I love how Mina kind of mother’s JJ a bit. I like JJ allot. There’s a degree of innocence that borders on nativity with him that I think Mina recognizes even tho he really doesn’t and kind of protects him. I play guitar in a local band. Inevitably between sets when you’re grabbing a drink at the...Read full review »

As the most recent episode covered the toilet habits of an infant and footballers’ haircuts I think we have to acknowledge that this podcast needs to be put on furlough. Good luck to you all and I hope to resubscribe after the emergency.

I usually listen to all the football podcasts on a Monday. I like the interaction with the regulars. Please do not pay attention to rubbish reviews from more than 2 years ago which compare unfavourably with the Guardian, it is totally different now.

A welcome addition to the variety of football podcasts out there. Just give me more JJ Bull. More I say! And when you think that’s too much then give me even more! MORE JJ NOW

Thom is a natural, JJ an impressive nerd, Mina an exotic jewel. The pod’s only flaw -mentioned by others - an unwillingness to venture out of its comfort zone of the top 6 teams most weeks the only weakness. Matt Laws’ sulky refusal to discuss Aston’s capitulation was a highlight this week
Alberto Tarantini via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 09/23/19
I give it a 2 star because the journalists are knowledgeable of the game and have interesting points to raise about the top 6. But if you support any team below the top 6, unless you’re having a stormer of a season like Wolves in 2018/19, you’ll likely get a single sentence about a team and...Read full review »

Swerves the puns and in-jokes of EVERY other football podcast but still keeps things light and entertaining while being really insightful on the beautiful game

I would recommend this podcast and enjoyed listening on my commute to work this year. Positives - Good balance of views and engaging challenge between presenters - on a lot of other podcasts I do detect a lot of pundits are 'waiting to talk' rather than listening to other's views....Read full review »

The programme has really improved this year. It has a good balance of presenters and material. Whilst change is good, pülease avoid adding meaningless features. A rival podcast is worsened by a predictions feature and quizzes. Keep up the good work. RU. Berlin, Germany.

This has become my favourite football podcast. Great work by Mina, Matt, JJ and the rest of the team. Unlike other football podcasts, it hasn’t fallen into the trap of thinking the longer in duration, the better it is. Concise, insightful and entertaining. Keep it going.

Excellent rapport on the panel without it getting too 'backslappy' and in-jokey Very good depth of analysis without it ever straying into pretentious hipster territory Really well balanced and improving every week!Read full review »

I look forward to seeing this pod drop into my list every week. I think the re-brand was needed, the previous telegraph pod was a bit bland and did not differentiate itself from the vast array of other football pods available to listeners. What do I enjoy about this one? Gibbs, Law, Rzouki...Read full review »

This new name is about as inspirational as the content. You get many managers get pelted for “ lack of personality” with interviews, then the ones that make those comments create this!

If you want a bit of negativity about England and the WC then this pod is for you.

Not too shabby. Lack of regular/constant guests makes it harder to get closer to the guests. But the fact that it comes out soon after the Sunday matches helps.

I like this podcast, it’s a good round-up of the weekend without being over-zealous or plodding through the fixtures. Slick presenting but also humorous, with some interesting tangents. Refreshing change from all the other footie pods I get on a Monday... AND it’s in early!!

Pretty poor pod. If you're utterly unfamiliar with the game, this pod will fill up the quota of quotes but w/o any real thought. Try it, so what if you lose a half hour of banal trivia?Read full review »

Having listened since the start of this season, I think I can fairly say this is not only a bad football podcast but could well be the worst of the bunch. I've really enjoyed the first couple of episodes. Interesting discussions and a great Monday morning commute companion. The tone is not too 'banter-y', (but not po-faced either) just informative, topical talks with in-the-know journos. Solid work, will be added to my regular rotation.Read full review »

Tries to hard to emulate the wit and humour of the guardian football pod cast and the new totally football podcast by James Richardson ,it falls flat there is no chemistry between the guests and the host who is to fond of his own voice.

Please don't use Martin Keown ever again for tactical analysis. His 90 seconds attempting to explain the tactics of abusing a ten year old rule change in offside was cringey. Very embarrassing analysis. And ancient too. What's next, the pass back rule? And his zonal marking thoughts were...Read full review »

Far too early to rip apart like some reviewers have. The format is similar to other podcasts but those have proven to be a succesful formula so it's a tried and tested approach.
