“I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts, and have recently branched off into more cult-specific content. Coming off really great podcasts about Heaven’s Gate and Branch Davidians, I was excited to learn more about Jonestown. I was interested to hear the recordings, and tried really hard to like this one, but it fell flat. I felt like the delivery was really erratic, and the delivery was boring. The episodes and narrative seemed disorganized- jumping from one topic to the next randomly. I could tell that a lot went into it, and it’s a very interesting topic, but I just didn’t love it.”
