Disappointing debut
I’ve been a die hard Splitscreen fan for about four years now and was so excited for Triple Click as Kirk, Jason and Maddy absolutely knock it out of the park with their knowledge, chemistry, positivity and ability to navigate a wide variety of topics. Splitscreen has gotten me both through many a work day and work commute over the years. It saddens me then to type this review after finding that the first episode of Triple Click was quite disappointing. Yes, I get that this was not supposed to simply be Splitscreen recycled and was excited for the possibilities and freedom that an independent podcast would present the trio, but to use that newfound flexibility to cut the show in half and greatly limit the amount of topics discussed feels like a waste instead of a refinement. I get this is just the first episode though and I’m still on board for now to see what the three best gaming industry news podcasters out there bring to table for this new endeavor.
