TNL w/ The Rap Pack Feat. Ronobir Lahiri

“I was gonna be an actor, goddamnit! But...they should have said, 'But, Ronobir...you're Indian!'" - Ronobir Lahiri

TNL with The Rap Pack resumes Season 3 with a truly incredible, thought provoking, fire stoking and laughter invoking episode. Our friend, the worldly and insanely talented musician (and actor) Ronobir Lahiri joins us with his sitar. Ronobir gets real with it - from divorce to the joys of remarriage, refocusing priorities on family, bitter mentors, love of music and 80's era TV, the Hollywood shuffle (aka industry stereotyping) and the time he deeply feared rejecting Ziggy Marley's offer of a the biggest spliff he'd ever see in his life.

Ronobir & The Pack discuss their shared sobriety and why Pos thinks weed is a far superior vice over alcohol. Ronobir dishes on crazy rich (east) asian's insanely extravagant weddings, riding elephants and John Mayer. Plus, our good buddy Alex Wasily of Dumpstaphunk hops on the track and sets it on fire with his big-ass 'bone'! This is a sincerely moving and heartwarming episode of TNL. Mount the elephant, y'all. Let's ride.

TNL w/ The Rap Pack Feat. Babe-alon 5

“That’s all we can ask...that our future nephews will call us a hot piece.”

    - Babe #3 of Babe-alon 5

In a night of triumphant returns, this is a special episode of TNL with The Rap Pack. First, it marks the long awaited return of The Rap Pack queen bee, Weezy Jenkins! Who does not disappoint. If that weren’t enough, one of their uniquely favorite musicians - also with a penchant for the comically absurd - Kasey Foster, returns with her fabulous throwback ladies vocal trio, Babe-alon 5. Babe #1 (Kiley Moore), #2 (Kasey) and #3 (Tara Smith) thoroughly entertains, including but not limited to a discussion on the price one should pay for a bottle of cheap wine at age 40. In this episode, The Pack & The Babes dig deep into song crafting, Babe #3’s supreme love of mood boards, Pos’ equally intense love of pie (spawned by his late great Aunt Lucille). There's also extended mention of Jeopardy legend, Alex Trebek’s exquisite pronunciation of a particular french word. Finally, they proceed to make a neo-pop song about love/sex relationships, space travel and baked goods. It’s almost as delicious as Aunt Lucille’s coconut pie!

TNL w/ The Rap Pack Feat. Bethany Thomas

"I'm happy to be able to step outside of what a whole group of people usually know about me and do something different" - Bethany Thomas

The Rap Pack [GQ, JQ, Jax & Pos] have a funny, enlightening and irreverently funny conversation with the genre breaking tour de force that is Bethany Thomas. GQ dubs her a "straight up box breaker" and that newly appointed moniker is proven to be more than appropriate as the Pack discusses Bethany's work in the world of music and theater. The conversation shifts from her constantly evolving sound, her ability to sound gritty and hifi simultaneously, the two critically lauded albums she dropped in 2020 - a solo effort and a collaboration w/ partner Tawny Newsome - and her (humble brag) friendship with Mr. Ted Leo. Plus, Bethany and Pos go h.a.m. on a thread involving songs that mention 'radio', which BT then makes a Spotify playlist out of. She aptly takes the prize with a seriously choice 80's jam that's all about turning a radio on and losing control.

To quote Bethany during the making of this weeks song, "Fugazi meets Devo is a great place to start :)"

"Singing is the language of angels" - Menna

If you hear a hauntingly beautiful voice singing in the middle of the forrest...do you run to it or run away? If it's Menna's voice, run as fast as you can directly towards it. The Rap Pack [GQ, JQ, Jax & Pos] kick it with the ultra-talented and super chill Menna on episode two of Tuesday Night Live, season 3. Menna recounts how she first met G&J (in said woods) at the Bear Music Fest, discusses her musical upbringing in Texas, her approach to songwriting and her philosophy on singing (essentially, 'mess is more'). This lady clearly knows a little some thangs about her tea leaves, as well. Don't even get her started! On top of that, they all make an incredibly dark, poetic and gorgeous song together. Listen for yourself.

TNL w/ The Rap Pack Feat. DJ Supernova

"You know how I work. It's for everybody. What's for me, is for everybody" - DJ Supernova

What's it feel like to be South Africa famous, bro?! The Rap Pack [GQ, JQ, Jax & Pos] ask this of the internationally infamous and stateside revered DJ Supernova on the first episode of Tuesday Night Live, season 3. The boys chop it up with Nova about his origin story as a DJ, his initial introduction to the culture, the development of his genre blending versatility as a plate spinner and his upbringing in da Bronx, NY (Uptown! Uptown!) via the Dominican Republic. Nova relays stories about his globe trotting career and why he garnered a very special audience in South Africa. The Pack has fun waxing poetically about the first time they met Nova, watching him spin in 'challenging venues' and how Nova became their bands DJ on a moments notice, in the most unlikely of circumstances. Then they all make a HOT summer jam together!
