Excellent converging lecture except theology
Prof. Benkler's lecture is much impressive because he has not only gathered all materials but also systematically rearranged into one focus, from nearly every aspect of human life, biology, economics, laws, sociology, etc. I have learned much from his appealing lecture. However, he with many other scholars of social and humanity sciences has not dealt with theological point of view properly. It is because the issue of egoism vs. altruism is not just in the humanity and social sciences. It is so long problem of every religion, so that some scholars like M. Weber have tried so hard to deal with the problem of religion and social problems. In his journey in America he has got good important impression from the protestant job ethics which has vitalized so strongly in the American society in the beginning of the 20th century. I think that the relationship between religion and society would also be one of the important issues in the 21th century. I would like to ask Prof. Benkler whether he can deal with this issue in his next popular lecture. Thank you very much Santa Fe Institute for preparing this iTunes U so that in the west side of Pacific ocean too I can grasp the presentdays' streaming.
