Wow, this guy is fascinating, would love to hear more, his descriptions and detail painted a scene and I could see it. Amazing

This was one of your most important guests. What a man of high integrity and courage. He was a great minister too.

Really enjoyed listening to Craig, he was rather interesting and kept me interested throughout. Thanks for keeping our community safe at all times. Was sad to hear he suffered in silence for a long time but glad things are better for him now. Thanks for sharing Craig, I’d shout ya a beer or fire...Read full review »

Good to actually have a podcast that talks to cops who were on the ground, not just random stories

The Unabomber episode on Spotify and Apple is in fact a replay of the November 22 episode on polyester fibres.

Deb
Love how small minded this woman is by acting for the community in shutting down bikie gangs and the serious harm and intimidation they caused.. so she was active in instituting the consorting laws which effectively took away not only the bikie civil rights but also every other resident in that...Read full review »

Interesting stories but this podcast seems to be a forum for ex cops to complain about the Police Force. In danger of becoming a bit formulaic…

When is Adam Shand going to host again???

Att: Brent Sanders Disgraceful interview with Chris Coster by Brent Sanders. He obviously did not do his due diligence in reference to Coster and his time at the academy. Coster was found guilty of bullying and bastardisation and also of inappropriate behaviour with a particular female...Read full review »

As an American, I find it so interesting to learn that Australia suffers from so many of the same ills as those in my own country. I like being able to listen the to ideas and perceptions of those in criminal justice absent the vitriolic political smash up in this country.

Awesome podcast Adam! Thoroughly enjoyed listening to our policemen & women and their inspiring stories they shared. Thank you! Looking forward to more of your interviews. Outstanding efforts.

Love listening to such awesome interviews from some of Australia’s best police officers. I rarely listen to podcasts episodes twice but have done multiple times with this one just incase I’ve missed something! Can’t recommend highly enough!

Adam’s podcasts are so easy to listen to - even though the podcasts don’t go for long, there is so much information packed in to the session and the flow is brilliant. Highly recommend listening to these.

I really enjoy this podcast series of yours. Interesting, insightful and a look at the detectives point of view of the crimes are such good listening. There may be something wrong with the Hoddle St episode as I can’t get past 11:34 minutes in. Can you look into it as it is a great interview with...Read full review »

The Adam Shand podcasts are beautifully done. Nicely paced and nuanced interviews with lead investigators that shed light on the efforts police go to to solve crimes and, often, the emotional toll taken by being close up to horrific events.

Really enjoyed the Corey Allen interview. Hearing his story and how these experiences helped shape his policing career was excellent. Glad those thick socks got him over the line. The QPS could do with a few more like Insp Allen.

Thank you & your guest. I wish he would come to Canada & train our police & RCMP. Most use of force by our police are Mental Illness related & we are too greatly influenced by South of the border which is far more gun oriented. Bless his heart & May his training spread world...Read full review »

Interesting podcast. However with reference to some of the interviewees (episode ‘A Career Defending Children’. It’s a shame more research isn’t undertaken with regards to the way those interviewed treated fellow co workers throughout their careers. They might be good at their job but a shameful...Read full review »

This was great to listen to, easy to follow unlike some comments that it wasn’t? I also live in Melbourne and you would have to be living down a hole to not know who all the players are! Well done Adam.. look forward to listening to your other pods :))

I never really understood this case but this series helped. I did find Adam’s viewpoint to be very sympathetic towards criminals. Which was hard to relate to. Informative nonetheless

Have been waiting to listen to this podcast, enjoyed episode 1, but episode 2 keeps stopping and starting, even when I had full phone service, so I thought I’d wait until I got home & connected to my wifi & yet the same problem. I didn’t try any of the next 3 episodes because I didn’t...Read full review »

This should have been an amazing podcast. The writer makes an assumption that the listener knows all the players in the game and the history of the gangland wars rather than providing valuable information to flesh out the story and make the listener invested in the players and what unfolds. It’s...Read full review »

Another great series from Understate and Adam Shand. For new listeners, take a listen to earlier Adam Shand podcasts as they provide a good background to this case. A very interesting look into Gobbo, who clearly had a lot more to do with the underworld wars in Melbourne than is commonly known by the public. She’s a shady individual... This podcast ties back to Adam’s other podcast, Jailhouse Lawyer & the vampire gigalo case. I found it enthralling.
