“Her husband and family obviously didn’t know how to navigate her mental health issues (that have existed her entire life) before she was deemed incompetent. This is a really sad situation but psychosis and schizoaffective disorder are serious mental illnesses that can cause people act in ways that are out of character. Her husband (ex?) is also hyper focused on legal punishment with complete disregard for her mental state. I understand he’s in pain and doesn’t have answers, but he’s not a mental health professional. Unless there’s some big revelation in upcoming episodes then I don’t understand the point of this podcast. This feels like nothing other than an obsession with punishment by people who aren’t qualified to determine capacity.”

“This story has been presented so well through this podcast. Prior to listening, I didn’t know laws like this even existed in some states. Thank you for bringing attention to this case. My heart breaks for the dad who has endured so much pain. I hope justice is served.”
