“After listening more to the podcast, hoping that Roshawn and Natasha as a combo would grow on me, I'm not in love with the conversational dynamic here. Mind you, Roshawn seems like an awesome human being, but as a podcast co-host, she's quiet and laid-back, and Natasha ends up doing a lot of the conversational heavy lifting. That worked well with ASOIAF, when the boisterous Brendan was the unspoiled one, but it works less well here, and often, Natasha and Roshawn get drawn off into personal conversations and side issues that certainly interest them, but which are less relevant to The Wire listeners. Ultimately, there's an energy dynamic that's missing here, which is a shame.”Read full review »
