“I’ve been listening to this show since about halfway through the AFI top 100 list. And you know what? It’s pretty great. Amy brings a thoughtful, nuanced, and yet balanced perspective to each discussion. Paul brings the levity and energy. I appreciate that neither are hesitant to share their honest reactions to these films. Sometimes I expect them to love a movie, but when they don’t, I learn how to be more critical and to expect more from the movies I watch. Sometimes I expect them to hate a film. But when they don’t, I learn how to see past my pretentious nit-picks and find value where I’d originally missed it.
One concern: I’d prefer Paul not interrupt Amy as much. It makes some episodes hard to finish. I appreciate the opinions of both hosts, so it is upsetting when Paul completely cuts her off.
Overall, it’s definitely my favorite movie podcast. Thanks to Paul and Amy for putting together a great show!”
