Haunting and well presented pod series. I believe we should all listen to this podcast so we don’t allow genocide to ever happen again.

Breathtaking podcast. The amount of information, the heartbreaking and gut wrenching testimonies. This is good I now know what I before only knew only a tiny part of. I wish all knew. Thank you

This is a very moving and emotional story of the genoside in Bosnia. How a modern, civilised European country can be exploited by nationalist extremists, how ordinary people (mainly men but also women)can become willing participants in mass murder and rape. The harrowing stories that the...Read full review »

This is a chilling recount of the atrocities committed by the Bosnian Serbs against their neighbours during the war in the 1990s. It’s a glimpse into humanity’s potential for great cruelty and abuse of power. Very frightening, but a very important listen.

I had just been born in 1990, so I don’t remember much, this helped me put together what we lived through. Incredibly important work, may the USA take notes, and stop moving towards f@cism. This podcast has helped me move through the never ending grieving process and mourn the profound losses of...Read full review »

Powerful journalism that takes you inside events that you probably think you already know about. The full horror of the camps is peeled back layer by layer to leave you horrified, angry, dumbfounded, and ultimately changed by the experience. This is essential listening - Ed Vulliamy’s service...Read full review »

One of the best podcasts I’ve listened to. This story isn’t broadly known, and I didn’t know much beyond the fact that there was a genocide committed during the Bosnian war. The story is really horrifying, and hearing it told by survivors, moment by moment, as it is especially during episode 2-4,...Read full review »

Chasing the truth is highly difficult when it comes to genocides. There’s always someone alive somewhere, living a pseudo normal life in spite of the destruction, the atrocities and the grief left behind .I came across your podcast feb 24 2022, just in time to remind me that history tends to...Read full review »

As a child in Turkey, I was hearing about the war in Bosnia. I remember something bad happening there but couldn't grasp it. Now, as I listened what happened, my heart aches. This is all lies. The genocide never happened. Muslims like to lie and exaggerate. Like 24 people were killed when they tried to assassinate Milosevic! Long live Yugoslavia!
