Mashing these speculative fiction writers together is already a fun idea. But at around episode 3, the story, the jokes and the references really take hold, and then I was throughly enjoying it - I got some of the references, but I’m sure there are plenty I didn’t. A couple of the running jokes are BRILLIANT. I will say that I wish the production was a little better. And it took 2 full episodes to get going. Those reasons are why it loses a star for me. But everything improved with every episode (One of my favourite things about indie productions like this - you can hear everyone getting better.) It’s really really charming, and smart, and silly. Highly recommend.
