Baseball, pop culture, and beverages... What a mix!
Kevin and Jason manage to fill two hours with inside baseball information, thoughtful analysis, and genuinely funny and insightful material on the world at large. I have a 1.5 hour commute and they spend more commuting hours with me that NPR or even MLB Home Plate on XM. Not everyone may get their humor or be interested in post modern fiction, recipes, and vuvuzelas, but to me there's a perfect mix. If you think Sugar Ray Leonard actually beat Marvin Hagler, if you are a devoted Rushbeckian, or if you unquestioningly worship at the altars of either sabermetrics or old school scouting, these guys might not be for you. But if you're an intelligent, open-minded fan of the game with a sense of humor and an interest in the world around you, you will find this the fastest two hour podcast you've ever listened to. Along with the infrequent FanGraphs Audio pod you have all the good baseball podcasts. Kevin and the Professor bring intelligent talk every week from their respective palatial estates- not just talk radio style noisy sports discussion. While I do listen to the whole broadcast each week my...Read full review »
