There’s nothing else like this. Anywhere.
I’m a huge true crime fan. I’ve seen every Dateline, every serial killer documentary, listened to other investigative podcasts. Nothing comes close to the thrill, suspense, or creepiness of Up and Vanished. It’s not even “true crime” - it’s a real time account of Payne Lindsey joining an open investigation, and making moves that law enforcement is unable or unwilling to. When he set out, Payne wanted to make something along the lines of Making a Murderer. Dude- you’ve done one better. And what’s more is the growth you’ve made as an investigative journalist along the way - from S1E1 to S3E12 this podcast has evolved into the very best True Crime I have ever digested. Season 3 was absolutely beautiful. I sincerely hope there is more to come and I’m ashamed to be so late in the game having just binged the entire library of episodes. Fabulous job, team. Please don’t stop. You’re making a difference, which is so much better than merely making entertainment. Thank you.

I am from Tifton and I vividly remember when she disappeared. I also remember the shock and fear that surrounded the story and that I personally felt. This podcast captures that feeling perfectly. I hope this gives some answers to the family. Great work
