“For years I’ve started every weekday with Up First. And I love a little cheek with my news. But recently the cheekiness has escalated to dismissive snark and I’m disappointed. I count in NPR for journalism, and as a moderate liberal from a very conservative part of the county...it saddens me to hear the dismissive derisive jabs that feed the feelings of persecution in my thoughtful conservative friends - those with whom dialogue and civility are completely possible and necessary. Will be taking a break. Maybe once y’all cool off from this crazy election year I’ll check back in.”
