Incredible insights each episode. A valuable resource for all students and professionals in the finance and investing world. Hosts do a great job navigating the conversations and adding insights from academia. Keep it going!

The Ray Dalio episode was great. It was interesting to hear the backstory of Bridgewater and his current market thoughts.

Podcaster should start listening more and speak less! I’m here to get into minds of incredible value investors, not here to be distracted by podcaster every time.

Sad to see such poor interviewing considering the caliber of the guests. Tanos routinely interrupts guests while leaving the topic at hand to die. A real shame. He also feels the need to insert his own esoteric and usually boring stories throughout the interview. It’s like watching a cringeworthy...Read full review »

Host is a host. Just stop talking and let the guest talk. Take notes and then ask questions once the guest finishes answering.
GeneralMoralHazard via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/09/21
The guests have been great and they have some interesting stories. The show would be much better with a better host. The host interrupts the flow at the worst time. Hosts input to the conversation is very poor. The host needs to stop taking up so much of the airtime.
CreativeKat99 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 03/24/21
I love the podcast, and clearly the host and the interviewee have valuable experience to share. But one comment for the host: please, please, PLEASE!!!...allow the guest to fully develop their thoughts. I feel like while they’re in mid-thought, they’re abruptly interrupted with a new question and...Read full review »

host talks too much, too focused on lecturing

Such great investors on this show yet the host is doing most of the talking. Such a shame that the host makes this incredibly painful to listen to, constantly interrupting these amazing guests - not letting them finishing sentences, interrupting, giving long speeches. Such a shame.
grahamdoddinvestor via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/06/20
The guests themselves of the podcasts are excellent and what they share is extremely valuable. However, the host at best is average. He talks waaay to much. Perhaps he should utilize Warren Buffett’s Punchcard analogy and apply it to the number of words he is allowed to speak during an interview.

Top notch investors, great stories. As improving points, please bring investors that do value investing without using that tag (ie PE, spec sits, activism.) Thanks Tano for this effort!

The guests are great. The interviewer seems confused about who’s supposed to be talking. In the one I’m listening to right now, he’s speaking four to five times as much as the guy he’s supposedly interviewing, and it ruins the podcast when he does this.
Brother Augustine via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/04/20
Two words for the interviewer - stop talking. I’m conflicted about this podcast. I adore the intellect and value of those interviewed, but I think Tanos does a horrific job interviewing. Please let the people talk!
Incubatorz via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/03/20
Best podcast I’ve come across in the last year. Tanos does a great job as an interviewer and I really appreciate his observations as he speaks with his incredible guests. Please make more!!!

As much as I value the subject and excellent guests, the format of asked questions leads to very few insights. Why childhood, where who studied and when, lived or worked matters ? Maybe it matters during an university admission interview, and is a form of „small talk”. The audience wants to...Read full review »

The guests are all great, but the interviewer puts his voice into the conversation too much. He introduces his questions too much and says too much before getting to the point. He should just ask the question and let the guest talk. A single sentence question with no introduction can be...Read full review »

The host’s interview skill really need some improvement. Don’t get me wrong, the legends are great and the topics are very informative. But keeping interrupting them during the conversion does nothing but making the understanding and fluidness of the content worse.
Jared586 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/16/19
Great concept but I fear the interviewer speaking thinks his insights are more important than the guest? I don’t get it.
Matty FF via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 10/26/19
Really great to be able to listen to all the insights and knowledge directly from one of the best value investing practitioners ever. Thank you so much Santos and the staff for gifting us with these lovely conversations
titoleandro via Apple Podcasts · Brazil · 09/18/19
Host is too conversational with interviewers. At times he will speak over or interrupt the guests. He doesn’t recognize that no one is on this pod to learn his views but that of the legends.
CBSvaluejunkie via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 08/17/19
This is not the problem of the host. It is my problem but too frustrating for me to work through this.
VenturaBlvd via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/21/19
But the host needs to let the guest speak. The host is obviously very smart and knows his stuff but there are some instances where he needs to let the guest do the talking. Sometimes when he summarizes an idea, it’s good. When he cuts the guest off or talks over him, it’s bad.
Dolivet via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 07/21/19
Let the guests talk...

Please stop talking and start listening. Time the minutes the host talks vs the guest.

All around fantastic guests and great conversations. Only gripe is that I wish the host would talk/interrupt less.
W Mathews via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 06/19/19
Love the guests so far. Some constructive criticism to make your podcast even better. Tano you need to talk far less than you do 80% guest and 20% you. We want to hear what they have to say and not your opinions. Simply ask great questions and listen. I felt that Tom Russo really had to fight...Read full review »
