Loved Season 1, but season 2 just seemed gratuitous and hone hard to listen to. DW is an amazing presenter, I hope if there’s a 3rd series it will tonally be more like series 1

St Catherine’s is as much of a suburb to Toronto as Buffalo is to NYC. Niagara Falls is not close to the Atlantic Ocean.

This is a really good podcast. Donnie does a fantastic job covering these cases. I just wish there were more episodes.

I was looking forward to this podcast as a Canadian with an understanding of these horrible crimes. As a Canadian, I couldn’t get through the second episode. It became obvious that this was really just a sensationalistic regurgitation of the Bernardo crimes without a shallow dive into the details...Read full review »

This is an excellent podcast. I’m ready for season 3. The interviews and narrative are edited together to tell an excellent story and to bring that story to life. One of the best hosts I’ve listened to.

You could get the same information from any other decent podcast that has covered the case. Nothing new was discovered or discussed and it had a lot more ads. Overall, don’t waste your time.

I don’t know how many times they can make the point that no one thought they were killers cos of their blue eyes and blond hair… all this talking around it without once mentioning race or racism directly 😩

Note to Podcasters: ditch the cheesy music.

This has a very bizarre feeling to it. It’s sympathetic to Karla in a way that is off putting. Honestly, I’d be embarrassed to have my name is associated with it. IMO, if you want a factual based podcast to hear about this story, I would highly suggest LPOTL’s coverage. They seem to have a well...Read full review »

really great job narrating it makes all the difference, thank you just a thought it might make things a little more successful. If you talked about when the episodes come out try to make it easy on us, have it right up front. also, if you could tell us how many episodes there are that would be...Read full review »

Poorly executed. Underwhelmingly told story with such limited vocab & mediocre articulation that it's kind of embarrassing. If you are going to regurgitate old stories please do it with some respect for those involved. If you are going to listen to crime podcasts try the ones told by...Read full review »

Season 1 & 2 are produced with the Same consistency both stories are documented so well. I look forward to the next Season!

I feel like the story was interesting, that’s why I listened, but shows with this kind of sensational writing, editing, and format make me feel sad after listening to them. I feel talked down to, treated as unintelligent, and like my emotions are being played on.

The best true crime podcast out there. The pace, voice, and storytelling are perfect. More please!

Some people deserve the death penalty!! How did they not drug test the sister or look for sexual assault !!

Great information about two monsters who terrorized many. Donny has the perfect voice for this, and takes the listener through the story with a grave solemnity. I’ve heard some podcasts where the hosts are giggly and irreverent, and that just doesn’t sit well with me.

OMG…these 2 should have been shot on the spot. Once their horrifying video of Tammie etc., was discovered, game over for Paul FIRST! ! Then, Karla. Some ppl don’t deserve to live Karla and Paul are among them

Spoiler Alert: They told the story in chronological order, and at one time police believed that she was a victim, but it’s made clear by the end of episode 6 that she is definitely not a victim.

The podcast has so much filler with ads and recap that the episodes are like 15 mins long. Like how lazy can the production team be when writing the podcast. It’s crazy to me they think this is good podcasting. 1 episode a week and it’s 20 mins long. Low effort and the podcast has so much...Read full review »

I grew up in Burlington Ontario and remember this very clearly. Currently Karla is out and Paul was just moved to minimum security prison. These should never have been released. Such an important story to tell.

I’m struggling with the light cast on Karla … seems they’re rewriting her willing participation in the crimes.

I have listened to other podcasts and read books on this case and none have come off as sympathetic to Karla the way this podcast is. I don’t get it, its weird, she is not the victim here. She’s a murderer, who got off basically scot-free, and then went on to have children like she didn’t...Read full review »

Everyone who was interviewed makes the same point over and over again about how Paul just didn’t look like a monster, he looked like a regular guy, and so non-threatening because he was blonde with blue eyes. So what does a monster look like? Dark features? Idk. Put a poor taste in my mouth and...Read full review »

Donnie Wahlberg could read my grocery list and make it sound riveting. The man is made for narrating podcasts. He’s up there with the likes of Keith Morrison. The podcast is also excellent. Please keep making them!

The podcast is way to short! Addto that they throw in ads and you have 19mins of info. Ridiculous!!!
Podcast Drop via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/07/23
Karla deserves zero recognition as being a victim when she willingly signed up to rape and kill her sister. And that was early on. I just can’t believe this podcast would fall into her self preservation manipulation and go on and on about her being a victim. More like, karma.

Great podcast in season 1 but as of season 2 episode 4, I’m not sure your team did any research or fact checking. Karla Homolka wasn’t an innocent victim, as she is HIGHLY portrayed. Would be a great podcast if they weren’t so short. Why the creators think we need a recap to the last episode that was 15 minutes- I don’t know. Becomes repetitive and superficial story telling.

Too short. And too many commercials given how short it is. Captures you just enough but honestly it’s annoying how short it is that I rather just wait to binge it or listen to other shows that have already done this case.

…I question the thoroughness of the research if they write in the script that Niagara Falls empties into the Atlantic Ocean. (The Niagara River flows from Lake Erie into Lake Ontario.)

I recall sleeping over at a friends house when I was 12yo, at the height of the Scarborough Rapist’s spree.
