How Do I Stop Being Misunderstood? (Coaching Session)

When it comes to being understood, whose responsibility is it? What do you do when you feel misunderstood? In this episode, Joe coaches Savannah, who is grappling with feeling wilfully misunderstood by people in all areas of her life. Together with Joe, Savannah explores how state of mind, emotional content, and the desire to control an outcome—even just trying to control whether you’re being understood—impact how we are listened to and understood. She experiments with and discovers the difference between listening to and being in connection with oneself in order to express herself fully and to be understood.

Most useful podcast I’ve found for better understanding myself and emotions

Everything we should have been taught about emotions, connection, and how to be a person in middle school.

No one taught us, but thankfully these guys are here to do it retroactively

These guys teach WHO TO BE

Joe and Brett are the power-duo that makes this podcast special. They really delve into the emotional component of success and business, which virtually all other podcasts seem to ignore. Their insights really challenge me to be a better leader in my business and family, and I need that. The old saying that people don’t care how much you know, til they know how much you care has a new home with this podcast. Thanks for being the bright light on this!!!

A beautiful bait and switch.

This podcast is a beautiful bait and switch.

You think it’s about business coaching, but really it’s about connecting our emotions (not a strength for Type A personalities) with our insecurities, blind spots and unmet desires.

Joe and Brett are a wise duo!
