Incredibly detailed and entertaining
Mark’s excitement for and deep knowledge of the Divine Comedy lay the stones of a beautiful path for listeners to walk through Dante’s masterpiece. I have never made it past Inferno but with Mark as my guide I am excited to try again. Mark’s care and unhurried pace is also a lesson that goes beyond Dante. Mark is what Nietzsche called “a friend of the lento … a teacher of slow reading” exactly what the Comedy needs and exactly what our too fast world needs. Highly recommended.
