Ep 78: Simple Ways to be Thankful for Your Home This Year
Listen now
Description
With the holidays on the horizon, it's the perfect time of year to remind yourself all you have to be thankful for. Of course we are all thankful for the wonderful people in our lives and our health (if we are lucky to have it), but this year, I want to encourage you to find ways to be thankful for your home. It's so easy to get bogged down and overwhelmed by the everyday maintenance and upkeep of a home - there are bills to pay, meals to cook, tubs and toilets to scrub, laundry to fold, and a never ending pile of dishes to wash - ugh...the dishes. Then, there might be all of the changes in your home that you wish to make - tidy up your living room, declutter your bedroom, toss the mounds of toys! Am I right? So, instead of focusing on what we don't like or the things we want to change, take some time this year and hone in on what you love about your home. It's okay to enjoy and relish in the physical things you love about it or how it makes you feel. Building up a bank of gratitude will not only help you to be happier and see all of the blessings in your life, but it will help you work through any challenges that come up - like when you tackle that decluttering project in the new year. This episode of the Wannabe Minimalist Show will also help you discover: - 7 questions to help you uncover what you love about your home - A simple project to increase gratitude all year long - Why gratitude is so important - How gratitude can help you declutter and share - A peek into 7 things I love about my home
