I love this podcast so much! I am not a dedicated football fan, although I love the excitement of the World Cup. I listen to many, many podcasts, and there’s something magical about this one. Nando brings something for everyone.

Really missed out on an opportunity to do a second season for the women’s World Cup. Thought it might be a one off for the Men’s World Cup but then a new episode came out

Thank you for a great podcast! The stories you told were totally new to me, but excellently told and fascincating. I hope we don't have to wait 4 years for more stories from you.Read full review »

Would have loved to hear more from Hope Solo. Can we get a few more women’s interviews?

Nothing new here, just more of the same regurgitated stories told by white men. BORING!

It would be great for some women’s coverage :-)

It’s rare to find shows good enough to make you truly emphasise with the person in the story, but it’s even more rare to find a show that makes you feel like you are living out an epic moment together with that person right there and then! This podcast makes me feel like I was right there in the...Read full review »

Not a huge soccer fan, but am glad this podcast was recommended by my sister-in-law. It’s World Cup and geopolitics and culture and biography and so much more all rolled into one. Great work!

Excellent. For both soccer and non-soccer fans. Really exhibits the beauty of soccer. Any chance this will ever become a full time show, not just a seasonal one?

We Came To Win is now my favorite football show and the team nails how to capture the human drama of the beautiful game. Every story easily fits into the canon of global sporting Great Moments and gives us the best fresh (American, which is rare!) take on the moment. Love it, can’t wait for a new...Read full review »

This podcast is like a favorite book, difficult to put down, easy to return to over the and over again, and with each revisit, something new is revealed. I binged this in one day and have already recommended this to all my football loving friends and to those friends who I wish would love football.

For soccer fans and non fans alike, these stories are fantastic. If you are a soccer fan, you may know some of the stories. They are told well, and even if you know the outcome, you are still riveted. I also really enjoy the variety— not just men’s soccer, but women’s soccer and refs are also...Read full review »

I don’t like soccer. I have tried in the past to get into the hype of the World Cup but I couldn’t ever muster any real enthusiasm. I very much enjoyed the Maradona episode- a nice overview of the story focusing on 3 key matches. I hope the other episodes are as good- I liked hearing a long ‘story’ rather than my usual football podcasts which are chats in format.
