Lost a step or two
I used to be a Patron of these guys and really enjoyed what they did, especially the We Love Movies and the extra stuff during the pandemic. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have stated, some annoying issues have come up that have seriously hurt my enjoyment of the podcast. First and foremost to me is the random insertion of ads. Putting them at the beginning of each episode in a predictable manner is fine, but now they are quite literally dropped into every episode with no rhyme or reason. I don't know if this is their podcast network's doing, but it needs to be rethought. Another problem is that some of the jokes and bits they go into during the discussion go on WAY too long, either beating a decent joke into the ground or stretching a bad joke too far. I was looking forward to the Wild Things episode, but their constant detours and tangents left me incredibly disappointed. Also, usually I like Angelica's guest appearances, but she probably could have turned things down a notch for this one.Read full review »
